£11,000 Raised For Rescue Charity After Fishermen Went Missing Near Seaford

Sky News, search for missing boat

More than £11,000 has been raised for a rescue charity in just 22 hours after two fishermen went missing near Seaford over the weekend.

The fishermen's boat sank on Saturday and one man was pulled from the water.

As previously reported, RNLI teams and a helicopter searched for two missing crew members yesterday (Sunday) until it was called off at 2.30pm.

Now, a fundraiser has been launched for Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen, so they can distribute to help all those affected.

Tony Rowe, who launched the appeal said:

'Our prayers are with those directly involved and the wider community who all have been affected in some way.'
