The A259 Eastbound has partially reopened following its closure due to the fire at the Royal Albion Hotel on July 15.
Two lanes, of the three-lane stretch, are now open to traffic, which Brighton & Hove City Council hopes will help ease congestion in the city centre.
Repairs are still ongoing, and health and safety remains the priority.
The council has thanked residents and businesses for their patience during this period.
They say teams involved are working hard to complete this work quickly and help minimise disruption.
Updates can be found on the council's website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts with information and advice.
