Air Ambulance Called After Serious Crowborough Collision

A collision between two cars in Crowborough on Monday (May 23) resulted in a 24-year-old man being air-lifted to hospital.

It happend at around 4.25pm between a blue Volkswagen Golf and a black BMW near to the junction with Church Road.

The driver of the VW was taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries and remains in hospital.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 40-year-old man, was also taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.

The road was closed for around seven-hours while emergency services attended the scene.

Any witnesses to the collision or  anyone who has dashcam footage which could help officers with their investigation is asked to report it to police by emailing collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk or call 101 quoting Operation Marchwood.
