Police investigating a report of an assault on a woman in Shoreham are appealing for witnesses and information.
The incident happened in East Street, near the junction with New Road, at about 1.25pm on January 25.
The victim, a local woman in her 50s, was left shaken by the incident, which officers are treating as an Anti-Semitic hate crime.
Officers are investigating, and have released an image of a man they wish to speak with in connection with the incident.
He was 6’, of medium build, with stubble, and wore a dark coat, a grey beanie-style hat, grey trousers and sunglasses.
He also carried a backpack.
Anyone who saw what happened or with relevant CCTV, mobile phone, dashcam or doorbell footage is asked to come forward.
Anyone who knows the identity of the man is also asked to contact us. Information can be reported to Sussex Police online quoting serial 731 of 25/01.
