Arun Police have launched an appeal on their social media channels after a lone dog was found wandering in the streets in Arundel.
In a post on the force's Facebook page, officers said that the dog was spotted running loose in Ford Road last night (Tuesday), and was retrieved after concerns from residents and motorists.
The dog has been taken to kennels until his owner is found.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1422 of 29/09.
