Armed Police Arrest Two Teenagers On Suspicion Of Worthing Robbery

Armed police and dog units attended an incident in Rowlands Road, Worthing, yesterday evening (July 3) around 10pm.

The robbery happened close to Durrington railway station at around 7.30pm when two 17-year-old boys had personal items stolen - including mobile phones - and sustained facial injuries.

Police searched the area, assisted by the National Police Air Service helicopter, and arrested two people in the vicinity of Rowlands Road, Worthing.

The boys, also 17, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in police custody at this stage. Enquiries are ongoing.
