Bexhill burglar who broke into family home is behind bars

A man who broke into a young family's house while they slept in Bexhill, is behind bars. Liam Nolan stole a number of items – including mobile phones and a hard drive containing family photos - from the property in Ashdown Road in Bexhill, in the summer, but was caught after forensics linked him to the crime. The 38-year-old, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to burglary and was sentenced to four years in prison. Detective Police Constable Julian Stokes said: "This was a particularly frightening burglary for the family. "Although no one was hurt, Nolan has broken into the family home while the family were asleep upstairs in the property. "This should have been their personal space where they felt safe. "They are particularly upset about the loss of the hard drive as this contained the original photos of their children growing up."
