Bognor Sexual Assault - Police Release E-Fit Of Suspect

Detectives investigating a sexual assault on a young woman in a Bognor street have issued an E-fit of a man they want to trace.

It's the second time the place have appealed for information about the assault that happened on Wednesday, November 17th, just after 3am.

The 19-year-old woman was walking along West Street, Bognor, close to Market Street and Waterloo Square, when she was attacked by a man near the sunken gardens.

He grabbed her twice and assaulted her, but she struggled free and ran off.

The suspect is described as white, in his thirties, of skinny build, with dark slicked back hair, a beard and moustache, and possible lip piercing, wearing a black hoody and black trainers. He spoke with what appeared to be a Eastern European accent.

Detective Constable Jill Stevens said:

"This was a very concerning although isolated incident.

"If you can help identify this man, or if you have any other information, please get in touch with us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 151 of 17/11."

See the Sussex Police website for information on reporting sexual offences and the support that is available.
