A controlled explosion has been carried out in Hastings this morning (Monday, 20). Police said the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were called to the town following a report made last night (Sunday, 19) of concerns for an unexploded munition at a house in the area. The squad carried out a controlled explosion in a field off West Hill, Hastings, at around 8.20am. Officers said the object was removed by the EOD and safely disposed of. Police assisted with a cordon as a precaution.
