Boy in hospital after being stabbed in stomach during attempted robbery

A 16-year-old boy is in hospital after being stabbed in the stomach during an attempted robbery at Horsham skatepark yesterday evening (Monday, 21). Police said the victim was approached by a youth who tried to take his jacket in the skatepark shortly before 7.40pm, while a 19-year-old man was also punched in the face several times. The boy's injury is not believed to be life-threatening, according to police. The suspect was described as wearing a black balaclava, black tracksuit and black gloves. DI Dave Payne said: "We are still trying to establish the circumstances and we are looking for the suspect who fled the scene. "We have officers and PCSOs in the area of the skate park and in North Parade. "Please speak to them if you have any concerns or can help with the investigation." Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 1242 of 21/10.
