Boy reportedly attacked by knife-wielding male on his way to school in Shoreham

Police have released an e-fit image following reports of an attempted stabbing of a teenage boy while he was walking to school in Shoreham. Officers said the victim was in Brighton Road on November 20 at around 8.30am when a male approached him from behind and assaulted him. The suspect reportedly produced a knife and tried to stab the victim in the abdomen. He was disarmed by the boy, who then fled on foot. The suspect was described as wearing a black puffer jacket with grey school trousers. DS Simon Smith said: "This was a shocking attack on a teenage boy as he walked to school in Shoreham. "Every effort is being made by police to identify the person responsible for this offence." Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting serial 418 of 20/11.
