Albion fans have once again shown what the club is today calling their "astonishing support" with more than 92% renewing season tickets for the 2021/22 season.

The deadline for renewal was at 5pm on Thursday April 29, and Albion's supporter services team said they were delighted by the response from fans, given the current global situation as a result of the pandemic.

They've now made a set of announcements connected to ticket availability.

  • More season tickets will be made available for the 2021/22 season as a result of the increase to the capacity at the Amex;
  • The club expects season tickets to sell fast to those on the waiting list and then to those who have registered their interest in becoming a season-ticket holder;
  • Those wishing to purchase new season tickets or join the 1901 Club should register their interest as soon as possible;
  • Those season-ticket holders who have benefitted from the option to take over ownership of a season ticket holder's seat have until May 6 to complete the takeover otherwise those seats will be released for general sale.

Deputy chairman and chief executive Paul Barber said:

"Once again it underlines the amazing support we have from the fans.

"We were apprehensive going into this year's renewal phase due to the global pandemic, but the response has been hugely encouraging and there is no doubt fans cannot wait to get back to the Amex next season.

"On behalf of everyone at the club I would like to thank our season-ticket holders for this amazing show of support.

"We have also seen more than 80% of our 1901 Club members renew for a new five-year term, which is equally astonishing, especially given the difficult times facing many of the business community in the face of the pandemic.

"Again, I would like to extend our thanks to those who have renewed, as well as those who are not in a position to do so.

"We fully understand that these are difficult times, and we hope that we will still see many of you in the future as guests of our other members, at selected matches or if you return to the 1901 Club in the future when the economy has stabilised.

"We are working hard on the return of fans protocols, alongside the Premier League, and we will be working hard to provide a safe and welcoming environment for fans when they return, and we are confident we will be back to full capacity in time for the new season.

"For those contemplating a new season ticket, we have provided a covid guarantee to ensure if we do have to play behind closed doors or to limited crowds, those unable to watch games as a result will be reimbursed.

"We have also provided greater flexibility than ever before, by introducing a new sharing scheme, to help our season-ticket holders get the maximum benefit in the current climate.

"Capacity has increased so more season tickets will be made available for sale this year due to the increased number of seats, so those wishing to become a season-ticket holder for the new season should register their interest as soon as possible.

"We will first move through those who joined our waiting list, as they rightly have priority on the best available seats, before then moving through fans who have registered their interest in recent weeks."

Fans can register their interest for a 2021/22 season ticket at the club's website.
