Brighton And Hove Pride 2022: All You Need To Know

After two years away, Pride will be coming back to Brighton to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the event.

In just a week's time, Brighton Pride will be back with a stellar line-up of acts including Christina Aguilera, Paloma Faith and Ella Henderson set to perform over the weekend.

The theme of the event this year is LOVE. PROTEST. UNITY.

Here is all you need to know ahead of the event:

When is Brighton Pride?

The event will be held over two days on August 6 and 7.

With the Pride Community Day and Dog Show postponed until Sunday August 28 due to hot weather.

What events are taking place?

The 30th anniversary sees the return of highly popular events such as the Pride LGBTQ+ Community Parade, the Pride Village Party and the Pride Community Day & Dog Show.

Here is a full summary of official Brighton and Hove Pride events:

WE ARE FABULOSO

The main event at Brighton hosted over both days, featuring prominent artists including Christina Aguilera, Ella Henderson, Raye, Bimini and L Devine on Saturday August 6.

Following on Sunday August 7 artists will include Paloma Faith, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Cat Burns.

Other areas of the park will host a range of tents and attractions hosting live music featuring over 100 LGBTQ+ artists.

Performances will begin at 12.00 noon and end at 10.30pm on Saturday and between 1.00pm and 9.30pm on Sunday.

Pride LGBTQ+ Community Parade - 'Love, Protest & Unity'

This year's community parade will provide a showcase of the city's charities, community groups and small businesses as well as the emergency services and the NHS.

The parade will mark the opening of Brighton & Hove Pride 2022, beginning at Hove Lawns on Saturday (6) at 11.00am and lead to the main event at Fabuloso in Preston Park.

Pride Community Day & Dog Show

The annual canine highlight of the weekend will be returning for 2022.

Due to hot weather the event will not be alongside the main attractions over next weekend and has been postponed until Sunday August 28.

Alongside the dog show will be a dedicated community day with a selection of activities.
