Brighton and Hove head coach, Graham Potter, has reportedly been given permission to talk to Premier League rival Chelsea about their vacant managerial position.
The south London club are searching for a new manager after sacking Thomas Tuchel earlier today (Wednesday).
Sporting Director, Todd Boehly, axed Tuchel in a face-to-face meeting just three months after completing his takeover of the club.
The news comes after Chelsea invested a one-window Premier League record of £273m to revamp their squad this summer.

If Potter accepts the post he'll be reunited with full-back Marc Cucurella, who swapped Albion for the Blues in a £63m summer transfer.
Tuchel was boss for exactly 100 games at Chelsea, recording 60 wins, 24 draws and 16 defeats.
He won the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup as well as being named the World's Best Club Coach during a trophy-laden 20 month tenure.
Sky Sports News has confirmed Brighton have allowed Potter to discuss the position.

The Solihull born 47 year-old paid his dues as a manager with a highly successful seven-year spell at Sweden's Ostersund and productive campaign with Swansea in the Championship.
In just over three years he has managed 42 wins, 45 draws and 48 defeats, establishing the Seagulls as an attractive mid-table side in recent years.
The move would represent a body blow for Brighton, who have started the season superbly, lying fourth in the top-flight after half a dozen games — three points above Potter's prospective new employers.
