Brighton: Witness Appeal Following Collision Involving Police Car And Cyclist

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision involving a marked police car and a cyclist in Brighton.

It happened on the A23 Old Steine at the junction with St James's Street just after 8.30pm on Saturday (Oct 23).

The police car had been responding to an emergency call.

Paramedics checked over the cyclist, taking him to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton as a precaution. He was discharged shortly afterwards.

The road was closed briefly while they attended the scene.

Officers investigating the matter are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch, in particular anyone who may have captured any relevant dash cam footage.
