Brighton has secured a top-10 place in the annual Sunday Times Best Places to Live guide.
Fiveways & Preston Park has been named the one of the best places to live in the South East of England.
Brighton is labelled as Britain’s best city by the sea, with quieter areas such as Fiveways and Preston Park offering the perfect base to enjoy lively shopping and cutting-edge culture as well as the glorious countryside of the South Downs.
Those interested in moving to the area will need to stump up an average house price of £453,000, with an astonishing 12% growth in the local market over the past 12 months.
Sevenoaks in Kent was named as the best place to live in the region.
The comprehensive guide, which includes 70 locations, is released online today (Friday) and an edited version will be available in the paper on Sunday.
