The highways authority in East Sussex said this morning (30 July) that car-parks serving Camber's beaches are full.
Officials added that vehicles arriving were being turned away, causing congestion on local roads between Rye and the beach areas.
During the last heatwave, a similar situation arose, prompting a multi-agency discussion on how best to prevent disruption caused by overloading of parking areas.
There were also concerns about a lack of social distancing in popular parts of the beaches.
More Radio has contacted Sussex Police and East Sussex Highways to ask about their plans for Friday (31 July), predicted by forecasters to be the hottest day of the mini-heatwave.
