Caroline Lucas To Vote Against Brexit Deal

Green MP for Brighton Pavilion, Caroline Lucas, is voting against the Brexit deal today, which she has called 'harmful'.

Former Green Party leader, Caroline Lucas, has publicly opposed the post-Brexit trade deal, which MPs have been recalled to Parliament to scrutinise ahead of the vote later today (Wednesday 30).

She'll be joined by the SNP, DUP and Lib Dems when she votes against it.

Labour leader, Sir Keir Starmer, said he'll support the bill in order to avoid a no-deal scenario.

Caroline Lucas claims the deal breaks promises made over the last few years.

Boris Johnson claims the agreement fulfils the 'sovereign wish' of the British people.

The European Union's top officials formally signed the post-Brexit trade deal with the UK on Wednesday morning.

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen and European Council president Charles Michel took part in a brief ceremony in Brussels before the documents were flown across the Channel for the Prime Minister to sign.
