CCTV images released of four people who could help find missing Saltdean teenager

Officers have released images of four people who were in the area when Owen Harding was last seen. Police said the 16-year-old has not been seen since March 26, when he left his home in Saltdean just after 6pm. He is known to have headed towards the A259 coast road between Brighton and Newhaven. Four people have been identified on CCTV belonging to Brighton and Hove buses as being around at that time of day, and officers would like to hear from them to see if they have any more information. Police said a woman got off a bus at the top of Telscombe Tye and walked down the sea side pavement at 6.15-6.17pm. The pedestrian was at the junction of Bannings Vale and the A259 at 6.17pm and the two cyclists were both travelling east between 6.17 and 6.18pm. DI Mark Rosser said: “This is probably the last line of enquiry that we have in our investigation. "Our searches have extended along the coastline as far east as Dungeness in Kent and following the advice of an oceanographer from the University of Southampton, we have also alerted colleagues across the Channel. “Do you recognise yourself in the pictures? "If so, we would really appreciate it if you could make contact with us as you may hold vital information that would help us bring answers to Owen's family. “It’s been nearly a month since Owen was last seen or heard from and I would like to thank the public for their support in our investigation." Officers said Owen is white, 5' 11" - 6', of athletic build, with short brown hair. He is believed to have been wearing a blue round neck jumper, dark joggers and white trainers. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting Operation Chartwell. If you see him, please dial 999 immediately.
