Changes To Sussex Refuse Collections On Day Of Queen's Funeral

Households that would normally expect a waste collection next Monday, 19th, can expect changes to the collection schedule.

Councils in Sussex have rescheduled refuse collections for next week, following the announcement that the Queen's funeral will be taking place on Monday, September 19th.

Eastbourne Borough Council: Collections scheduled for Monday, will be moved to 6am, Saturday 24th.

Lewes District Council: Refuse, food waste, recycling and garden waste will be moved to the next day (Tuesday 20th).

West Sussex: Waste collection will be suspended across West Sussex on Monday 19th.

Chichester District Council: Waste will be collected on the next fortnightly collection dat (Monday, October 3).

CrawleyBorough Council: Collections will run one day late during this week, with Friday’s bins being collected on Saturday 24 September.  All collections return to normal on Monday 26 September. 

Brighton & Hove: Scheduled collections will continue as normal, with a pause on collections between 11am and 12 noon.
