A charity version of the popular Korean TV show 'Squid Game' is set to come to Crawley later this month, raising funds for a local Christmas gift appeal.
The dystopian drama series was watched by 111 million users during its first 28 days, making it Netflix's most successful series launch ever.
But while the Crawley version of the games will follow the same theme, thankfully it'll be a lot loss deadly. Entrants will all make it out alive — and one of them will be clutching a cash prize.
Entry will be £20 per person.
Half of the funds raised will go to Spotted:Crawley's Christmas gift appeal, while the other half will be given to the winner.
The more players, the more cash there is to be won.
To get involved, send an email in the first instance to Dan at dan@spottedmediaservices.co.uk, titled Crawley Squid Games.
More details, game location and entry forms will be sent to interested candidates.
In a statement about the game on Facebook, organisers said:
"Remember...you are on your own...entering with friends doesn't mean you get to compete together and you may end up competing against each other ."
Games will be held between 3pm-6pm on a Sunday, starting Sunday, October 24 and will take roughly 1-3 hours.
Register by Tuesday (October 19), either by email or in person at 20 Brighton Road, Rh10 6AA, today (Saturday) between 10am and 1pm.
