Cineworld has confirmed plans to temporarily close all of its UK and US cinemas because of continuing disruption from the Coronavirus pandemic.
The company said the decision affects 45,000 staff.
That would include cinemas in Brighton, Crawley, Chichester and Eastbourne.
According to Sky it will shut 127 branches this Thursday, along with more than 530 in America.
It's because big studios have been delaying release such as the next Bond movie, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"In turn, without these new releases, Cineworld cannot provide customers in both the US and the UK - the company's primary markets - with the breadth of strong commercial films necessary for them to consider coming back to theatres against the backdrop of COVID-19."
Cineworld has yet to give information on the implications for membership customers.
