UPDATE: Concern For Man's Welfare Sparks Emergency Service Findon Call-Out

Concern for the welfare of a man has led a multi-agency call-out in Findon today (Wednesday, Feb 8).

Officers are currently on scene in Nepcote Lane after responding to initial reports at around 11.25am.

While the investigation is ongoing, a cordon has been put in place as a safety precaution and there may be a small amount of disruption to residents in the immediate vicinity.

There is not thought to be any wider risk to the public.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said:

"A multi-agency response will be present in the area for some time and we are grateful for the public’s patience and understanding while this is ongoing."

UPDATE:

Sadly, the man was found deceased inside an address. His next of kin have been informed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the matter has been passed to the coroner’s office.

We’d like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while officers and representatives from partner agencies responded to this matter.
