Sussex Police handed out 258 fines to people breaching coronavirus regulations over the weekend (26-28 February).
The warmer temperatures seemingly brought a number of 'scenic drivers' to the county.
Police said people from both inside and outside of Sussex said they had travelled in the area to 'see the sea' or just 'out for a ride'.
Fines included those travelling from places like Crawley and Portsmouth the Beachy Head; a motorcyclist travelling from Ashford to Rye to take photos; and a group of motorcyclists riding together.
One driver reportedly tried to tell officers he had a job interview on a building site, which police found didn't exist.
According to officers, there's been an increase in traffic since the roadmap out of lockdown was announced last month.
Sussex Police are reminding people that the country remains in lockdown and people should be staying local.
