The South East Coast Ambulance Service have responded to an 'alarmist' voice message regarding coronavirus that's circulating on social media. SECAmb said they are aware of a message regarding the ambulance's response to coronavirus circulating on platforms such as Whatsapp. In the recording, a woman can reportedly be heard claiming to be a paramedic with new information from Public Health England following a meeting. She describes extremely concerning circumstances regarding Covid-19, such as leaving patients to die at home who are struggling to breathe. The ambulance service said the 'alarmist information' is not correct and those who receive the message should disregard the information and not share it further.
SECAmb said they are continuing to follow national guidelines regarding the ambulance response and thanked the public for their ongoing support in following the government’s advice to stay at home as much as possible.
We are aware of a voice message being shared currently on social media regarding the ambulance response to coronavirus. The alarmist information being shared in the message is not correct. We would urge people to disregard the message and not share it further.
