Here’s all the coronavirus related news that’s gone on in Sussex over the last 24 hours.

As of Friday (June, 12) at 6am, the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district:

Brighton and Hove: 473

East Sussex: 736

West Sussex: 1,343

Total: 2,552

Last day to apply for discretionary business grants in Brighton and Hove

Today is the last day for businesses in Brighton and Hove to apply to the city council for a discretionary grant to help with coronavirus losses.

The cash is being offered to small businesses that haven't been eligible for other kinds of support.

Grants of up to 25-thousand pounds are on offer.

West Sussex County Council says quiet roads during lockdown have helped speed up pothole repairs

Buckled wheels, burst tyres and sheared engine brackets were among the thousands of claims made against West Sussex County Council for pothole damage.

Over the past five years, the council has received around 3,460 compensation claims from drivers and forked out more than £214,000 to settle 513 of them.
