Coronavirus: The latest developments in Sussex (Friday, 20 March)

All the latest news on cancelled or postponed events in Sussex as the county battles the coronavirus outbreak. The most up to date official number of known positive cases of Covid-19 in Sussex is 36. Brighton and Hove: 12 East Sussex: 8 West Sussex: 16 Schools Following the government's announcement on Wednesday (March, 18), all schools across the county will shut their gates at end of play today. Most children will be off school until further notice. On Monday however, children of key workers (on this list) will still be able to attend classes, although this may mean they have to go to a different school to pool the county's resources. Councils Mid Sussex District Council has suspended all meetings until at least 8 April. Brighton and Hove City Council has suspended garden waste collections and close customer complaints line. Other Shoreham Centre is closed from today (20 March). Crowborough, Hailsham & Uckfield Citizen's Advice offices are closed and Drop-In sessions suspended. Arundel Castle will not open as planned on 1st April and will remain closed until further notice.
