Coronavirus: The latest developments in Sussex (Monday, April 20)

Here’s all the coronavirus related news that’s gone on in Sussex over the last weekend. As of Monday (April, 20) at 7am the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district: Brighton and Hove: 292 East Sussex: 433 West Sussex: 820 Total: 1,545 Amex stadium: Covid-19 test centre Brighton and Hove Albion's Amex stadium has been converted into the south coast's biggest drive-in coronavirus testing facility. NHS staff and key workers will be offered tests strictly by appointment only. Read more here. Tributes paid to Sussex nursing assistant Ruben Munoz died on Friday (April, 17), after testing positive for coronavirus. He had been a nursing assistant at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust since 2011. Ruben’s family have shared the following tribute: "Ruben is a good son, a beloved husband and an amazing father to his two children. "He was so proud of his NHS and Woodland Ward family." #DHS4NHS Students and staff at Durrington High school in Worthing have started fundraising for Worthing hospital. Participants are invited to take part in running, walking, or jogging, 5k and donating to the local charity. Read more here. Music lessons Children in East Sussex and Brighton will continue to receive music lessons during the coronavirus lockdown, online. Ten weeks of classes are on offer from Brighton & Hove Music & Arts (BHMA). West Sussex community  hub Money left-over which was reserved for community projects in West Sussex will now go towards helping groups assuring vulnerable people during the coronavirus lockdown. The County Council said £26,000 of unclaimed budged is going straight to the county's Covid-19 community hub. West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service to support SECAmb From this week, staff at West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service have been deployed to proved logistical support to the South East Coast Ambulance Service. Four team members are collecting personal protective equipment and other essential clinical supplies from SECAmb's logistics base near Tunbridge Wells.
