Coronavirus: The latest developments in Sussex (Monday, April 27)

Here’s all the coronavirus related news that’s gone on in Sussex over the last 24 hours As of Monday (April, 27) at 6am, the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district: Brighton and Hove: 343 East Sussex: 504 West Sussex: 1,019 Total: 1,866 The 2.6 Challenge After the cancellation of the London marathon (due to take place yesterday), people are coming together to raise money for all of the charities and causes that lost vital funds normally raised through sponsorships. A number of individuals and businesses are taking part across Sussex, including RSPCA Mallydams in Hastings. West Sussex balloon artist Justine Clapham is also taking part, she's walking 2.6 miles a day around Angmering for 10 days for Chestnut Tree House children's hospice. Justine will wear a different costume made from balloons every day, yesterday's apparently used more than 300!

Green councillors David Gibson and Amy Heley want the council's Housing committee to consider how to provide 'move-on' accommodation. Funding options will be discussed on Wednesday (April, 29) Newsletters Volunteers are wanted to deliver newsletters to residents in Brighton and Hove with no access to the internet.

We're looking for volunteers to deliver a newsletter to help residents with no access to the internet to reach essential services and support.
