As of Saturday (March, 28) at 6am the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district: Brighton and Hove: 33 East Sussex: 39 West Sussex: 86 Hospitals Nearly all visiting was banned by three hospitals in West Sussex this week. The trust running Worthing, St. Richard's and Southlands hospitals said nobody can call in to see patients, with very few exceptions. They include a birth-partner for a woman in labour, one parent for children, and visitors to patients nearing the end of their life. Police Sussex Police called upon retired officers, including Special Constables, former volunteers and members of the public with 'special skills' to help during the coronavirus pandemic. Trading Standards West Sussex Trading Standards advised people worried about being charged unfair prices for goods because of Covid-19 to get in touch with the Competition and Markets Authority. Football for a cause For anyone missing their afternoon football, Whitehawk Football Club will play a virtual 90-minute game against Guernsey live on social media at 3pm. Money raised will go to Whitehawk food bank in Brighton, and towards Guernsey Mind charity.

It's after the authority received reports of a number of bonfires, they said that burning any kind of waste can aggravate breathing problems. Volunteers Wealden District Council, and MP Nusrat Ghani, have been calling upon locals to volunteer. Not only to help the NHS, but also to help the vulnerable and the lonely. Courts Only six courts will open across Sussex from Monday, as the service experiences a partial shut-down.
