Coronavirus: The latest developments in Sussex (Thursday, 11)

Here’s all the coronavirus related news that’s gone on in Sussex over the last 24 hours.

As of Thursday (June, 11) at 6am, the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district:

Brighton and Hove: 472

East Sussex: 735

West Sussex: 1,342

Total: 2,549

South Downs National Park offers education and certificates in learning about the national park that can be followed for free by anyone at home, isolating, or going for solitary walks.

The South Downs National Park Authority has launched the award as part of a scheme to help families learn more about the natural environment.

Families can conduct 25 hours or more of fun activities that help them discover, explore and do something to care for a wild place, and then share the experience with others.

Tests last week showed no care home workers in Brighton and Hove City Council establishments tested positive for coronavirus.

None them have the virus but in any event fewer staff will move between care homes as part of efforts to help tackle covid-19.

The news was shared by Rob Persey, the executive director for health and adult social care at Brighton and Hove City Council.
