Coronavirus: The latest developments in Sussex (Thursday, April 16)

Here’s all the coronavirus related news that’s gone on in Sussex over the last 24 hours. As of Thursday (April, 16) at 7am the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district: Brighton and Hove: 227 East Sussex: 373 West Sussex: 487 Total: 1,087 Mortuaries to be installed at the University of Sussex Three temporary mortuary sites were announced in Sussex yesterday (Wednesday, 15). Today (Thursday, 16), four temporary units providing 300 spaces will arrive at the University of Sussex in Falmer; in addition to the 130 currently managed by Brighton and Sussex Medical School. More units procured by the Sussex Resilience Forum will arrive at Falmer next week. Free Fatboy Slim gig Hove-based DJ Fatboy Slim (aka Norman Cook) announced a free concert in Brighton for all NHS and blue light staff. Tickets for the gig at The Brighton Centre on October 28 will become available tomorrow (Friday, 17) at 7pm. Click here for more information.
