As of Tuesday (March, 31) at 7am the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district: Brighton and Hove: 33 East Sussex: 45 West Sussex: 113 Man appears in Court A man who appeared in court yesterday (Monday, 30) for spitting at police officers in Brighton while claiming to be infected with coronavirus has been jailed for three months. Coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency fund Brighton and Hove City Council set up a £150,000 emergency fund for organisations supporting vulnerable people, and people incurring extra costs as a result of the pandemic. According to the authority, decisions on grants should take three weeks or less. Parking in Mid Sussex The District Council suspended parking charges in Mid Sussex to help key workers find somewhere to leave their vehicles for free during the lockdown. Stopping on yellow lines and loading bays will still be enforced. People in Crawley ignore social-distancing rules Crawley Borough Council pleaded that the public follow the rules after police reported large gatherings at the tennis courts and 3G football pitches in Maidenbower yesterday (Monday, 30).

All maternity care will now be given at the Conquest in Hastings.
