Here’s all the coronavirus related news that’s gone on in Sussex over the last 24 hours As of Tuesday (April, 21) at 6am, the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district: Brighton and Hove: 305 East Sussex: 449 West Sussex: 867 Total: 1,621 GPs take precautions Sussex's GPs are separating patients showing Covid-19 symptoms into completely separate areas, and sometimes different surgeries. Health bosses asked that people who require appointments to always telephone, and not attend in person unless told to do so. Bonfires Crawley Borough Council joined other local authorities and warned residents against lighting bonfires. People who are caught could find themselves with a £100 fine. West Sussex Fire officers help SECAmb West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service deployed four staff members to support the South East Coast Ambulance service. The employees help logistically by collecting supplies from SECAMb's centre in Tunbridge Wells and distributing them to their three stations in Worthing, Tangmere, and Gatwick. Mental healthcare services Sussex's mental healthcare professionals urged anyone suffering to still get in touch during the coronavirus lockdown. Despite restrictions, a broad range of therapies are still freely available online, or over the phone.
