Here’s all the coronavirus related news you need to know across Sussex over the last 24 hours. As of Tuesday (April, 7) at 7am the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district: Brighton and Hove: 85 East Sussex: 161 West Sussex: 224 Total for Sussex: 470 BBQ on the beach Over the weekend officers put out a BBQ on Hove beach after two people allegedly refused to leave, and became abusive. They were both summonsed to court after breaking the new coronavirus law. Up until yesterday (Monday, 6), officers said they have issued fewer than ten fines. Read more here. Worthing Pride Postponed Worthing Pride 2020 in July has been postponed to July 10, 2021. Paid-for tickets will be automatically transferred to next year, while free parade tickets are cancelled. Chichester Council tax help Chichester District Council is one of a number of authorities in Sussex offering help with Council tax bills. Help offered includes allowing payment by instalments and checking for any discounts. Other authorities with plans to help include Worthing, Adur, Mid Sussex and Lewes. West Sussex Archive The West Sussex Archive want to collect our impressions of life under lockdown. They're looking to collect a variety of records such as photographs, drawings, diaries and videos. Hastings Museum and Art Gallery said they are also recording what life is like during the coronavirus pandemic, through journals. Bonfires Several local councils are urging people not to burn garden waste, which could worsen any neighbours' breathing problems caused by Covid-19. Chichester District Council is among authorities that's kept a garden waste service going, though collections may not reach everyone.
