Coronavirus: The latest developments in Sussex (Wednesday, 13)

Here’s all the coronavirus related news that’s gone on in Sussex over the last 24 hours. As of Wednesday (May, 13) at 6am, the following figures are the known number of Covid-19 cases in each district: Brighton and Hove: 399* East Sussex: 650 West Sussex: 1,230 Total: 2,279 *This number has dropped by one from yesterday's official figures. This could be because it was recorded incorrectly, or for the wrong area. Garden centres reopen Garden centres such as Horsham Water Gardens, Dobbies, Notcutts, Tates of Sussex and Sussex Country Gardener are among sites that will be reopening. Police asked the public to follow traffic marshalls, avoid long queues, and plan to return at a quieter time if need be.

Many garden centres will reopen tomorrow and be busy! 🌺

Please listen to traffic marshalls, respect social distancing, be patient and mindful. Your safety is the priority. If the queue to get in is already onto the road, please don’t add to it. We need to keep roads clear. pic.twitter.com/0IsKqQFeEp — Sussex Police (@sussex_police) May 12, 2020 Dog exclusion zone Despite unlimited exercise coming into force today, the dog exlusion zone will be going ahead as usual on Worthing Beach.
