Crawley Man Charged With Possession Of Cannabis And Weapons

A man has been arrested and charged after a search of his home revealed he was involved in dealing crack cocaine and heroin and was in possession of cannabis and weapons.

The arrest, last Thursday (August 18), happened as part of a joint investigation by Sussex officers with the Met police.

Kein Fernandes, 20, of Foxglove Walk, Crawley, was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin between the 6 March and 18 August 2022, possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

He appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court on 19 August where he was released on conditional bail to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 16 September.

Detective Inspector Alan Pack of the West Sussex Community Investigation Team said:

“We are committed to disrupting the production, supply and distribution of harmful drugs in our community. This investigation is another example of joint working with the Met in order to tackle county drugs lines and keep our communities safe.
