A woman accused of coughing at police officers in Crawley while claiming to be infected with coronavirus has appeared in court. Police said it follows a report of a fight in Nightingale Close, Crawley, at around 8.15pm on Sunday (April, 5), where a woman is alleged to have coughed at three officers. Sarah Baldwin, 31, of Fennel Close, Crawley, was charged with three counts of assaulting emergency workers and was brought before Brighton Magistrates' Court yesterday (April, 7). Officers said Baldwin was released on bail, and is due before Crawley Magistrates' Court on May 6.
