Firefighters travelled from as far away as Hastings to central Brighton to tackle flames that broke out in a home in the city last night (Thursday 26 November)
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service reported being alerted to the emergency in North Place at 7.39pm.
Crews from Preston Circus as well as Hastings tackled the incident using equipment that included an aerial ladder platform and breathing apparatus.
By 9.30pm, they said the fire had been put out, with building control then taking charge to ensure the structure's safety.
