A man in his 60s has been left in a life-threatening condition in hospital after a car collided with a tree in Forest Row.

Officers were called to Priory Road shortly after 11pm on Saturday (April 24) to a report of the incident involving a black Skoda car.

The driver received serious injuries, and his next of kin have been informed.

A passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital for treatment.

Police investigating the collision have launched an appeal for witnesses.

They would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have seen the vehicle travelling in the area beforehand.

Officers would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have captured any relevant dash cam footage.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting Operation Crevice.
