East Sussex, Second-Lowest Coronavirus Rate In Mainland England

Second-Wave East Sussex Cases, With Seven-Day Rolling Average.

East Sussex currently (March 15) has the second lowest rate of coronavirus infections measured in the last week, anywhere in mainland England.

Only Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, covered by a single local authority, has a lower estimated proportion of people currently with the disease.

Yesterday, across the More Radio area, a total of 49 new coronavirus cases were detected.

Of those 36 were in West Sussex, with just five throughout East Sussex.

Eight were recorded in Brighton.

The total is 20 fewer than were seen last Sunday.
