Extra Police Attention After Cars 'Keyed' In Portslade

Extra attention from police is being given to an area of Portslade after damage was reported to cars.

Officers received reports on August 23 that several cars had sustained damage after being 'keyed' overnight in Abinger Road.

Sussex Police said it has received more than 35 similar reports since the beginning of July in the Trafalgar Road and Abinger Road areas. 

Chief Inspector Dee Wells said:

"Local officers are aware, an investigation is underway and extra police attention is being paid to the area. 

"If you see any suspicious activity taking place, dial 999 at once. 

"Anyone with other information which might help identify those responsible is asked to contact the police online at or call 101, quoting reference 47200144147."
