Families have been tricked out of up to £500 each, in the latest puppy scam, which gave a false Mid-Sussex address.
On Twitter, Mid-Sussex Neighbourhood Policing Inspector, Darren Taylor said further reports came in last weekend of families travelling to Mid-Sussex to collect puppies, which they had made payments upfront for.
The homeowner at the address claims to have no knowledge of any puppies for sale.
Many of the victims of the scam had paid up to £500.
