Fire services from five areas of Sussex were mobilised last night as a fire at a derelict building in Old Lane in Crowborough blazed out of control.
Emergency services were called just before 9.30am, with nearby roads closed.
Fire services from Kent, Sussex and Surrey attended with firefighters from Lewes, Uckfield, Hailsham, Forest Row, Mayfield and Wadhurst.
At just after 9am this morning, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Tweeted to say that the fire was finally being dampened down.
An investigation will take place today.
