Firefighter Anthony Knott to be honoured with ceremonial funeral

The family of firefighter Anthony Knott have announced a public funeral will be held for those who wish to pay their respects to him. Anthony, from Orpington in Kent, disappeared while out with work colleagues in Lewes on December 20. The body of the 33-year-old was then found in the River Ouse at Newhaven was discovered by a passer-by on January 10. Anthony's family have now said he will be honoured with a full Fire Brigade Ceremonial Funeral on Thursday, January 30. A procession will be leaving Valentine & Turner in Orpington High Street at 10.15am, and the family said all are welcome to join local businesses and community representatives along the high street.
