Firefighters from West Sussex have been tackling a blaze in Pulborough this morning (Tuesday).
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Billinghurst and Storrington were called to reports of a small fire at Hardham Water Works in London Road, just before 10am.
A spokesperson from the fire service said:
"Upon arrival, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus found a small amount of smoke coming from some electrical switchgear in the basement of the building.
"Crews extinguished the fire using dry powder and worked closely with engineers from Southern Water throughout. The water supply network was unaffected by this incident and supply continued to run as normal.
"Firefighters checked over the scene of the fire using thermal imaging cameras to ensure there were no further hotspots, with the last crew leaving the scene at 12.07pm."
