Four fire engines tackle blaze at Bognor Regis property

Firefighters attended a blaze at a property in Bognor Regis last night (Tuesday, 5). West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said they were called to reports of a fire in the basement of a house in Longford Road, at around 10.40pm. Two crews from Bognor, along with one from Chichester and one from Littlehampton, attended the scene with a support vehicle from Haywards Heath.

A WSFRS spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a fire in a domestic property on Longford Road in Bognor Regis at 10.42pm on Tuesday 5 May. “Two crews from Bognor Regis, along with one from Chichester and one from Littlehampton attended the scene with the Command Support Unit from Haywards Heath. “Upon arrival they found a fire in the basement of the property, and firefighters using breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reels and one safety jet to extinguish the fire. “The last crew left the scene at 12.26am.”   More Radio is continuously dedicated to providing a quality news service on-air and online, reporting local stories that matter across Sussex.
