The 'Heritage Open Days' festival will run from September 9 to 18 this year, celebrating cutting-edge creations we can't live without and the inventors behind them.
Held all over the UK, the open days are completely free, giving people the chance to see hidden spaces and try new experiences.
Nationwide, there are currently 4,500 events now, with dozens to be found all over Sussex.
Notably, the National Trust-run Sheffield Park and Gardens will be free on September 9th, with no booking necessary. With beautiful lakes and gardens, children will love the chance to explore the park and see the ducks.
Other events include Aubrey Beardsley's Brighton Tour; exploring Regency kitchens; a drawing workshop at Hove Museum; Brighton Toy & Model Museum Tours; Brunswick Town History Exhibition; a tour of the Duke of York's cinema; and over 100 more such opportunities.
