Police have further arrested a 28-year-old man detained last Wednesday (December, 4) in connection with a minor collision on the A259 where the elderly driver died. Officers said the Worthing man was initially arrested on suspicion of assault following the incident at Shoreham where a 75-year-old driver died. Detectives are investigating whether the victim had a medical episode. Police have now further arrested the suspect on suspicion of causing death by careless and inconsiderate driving. Officers said a reported altercation took place after the cars clipped wing mirrors shortly before 4pm. The suspect has been released under investigation at this time.
