The Burgess Hill community is being asked to help put together Christmas hampers, to give to those struggling with the rising cost of living this festive season.
A partnership of local organisations is asking local businesses, schools, churches and others to collect items from a list of food needed to make up Christmas food hampers. The hampers will be delivered to approximately 260 families and individuals in the Burgess Hill area in time for Christmas.
The groups organising the initiative include Burgess Hill District Lions Club, The King's Church Mid-Sussex, Burgess Hill Community Food Bank, Burgess Hill Town Council and Burgess Hill Youth.
Sussex Clubs for Young People will be also providing support with their Purple Bus to assist with the transportation of food.
